What do you get when you mix the Minecraft’s block building bonanza with Skyrim’s superb quest system and character customization?
You get a Pure Conquest project called “Cube World.”
Features that stand out include the ability to collect souls from tough high level boss monsters then use the souls to enhance your attacks with an elemental kick, such as an infernal burst or healing aurora, an item upgrade system that allows you to gain power by collecting cubes from enemy drops and adding them to your sword, bow, or shield, and player-owned houses system with customizable architecture.
Developed by indie programmer “Wollay,” the Cube World project sets to become a deep action RPG with addictive gameplay and fun old-school esque graphics. Below is some of the latest footage (in slow-mo):
Best of all, multiplayer will be supported, so you’ll be able to team up with your buddies in this gaming ”block buster”. However, it is currently unclear on how many players will be able to play on one server.
While Wollay originally intended Cube World “as a fun project” back in 2008, as he states in his official blog, the game has really took off in a serious amount of popularity. There are a lot of high hopes and anticipation for this game in the indie world. As a matter of fact the Cube World page on Facebook is peaking above 11,000 likes as the time of writing.
Cube World is still under development, and neither an official title nor release date has been set for the project .
You can check out more information about the development of Cube World on Wollay’s official blog at: http://wollay.blogspot.com/
P.S. If you are actually looking for a reason to like the cubicle, you should probably get back to work now.
