Nate Zerambo, the host and founder of N8 Bit Radio, earned a B.A. in Broadcast Communications at Point Park University, and has worked under many titles for the campus radio station, WPPJ, including the DJ, Production Director, Promotions Director, Program Director, and General Manager positions.
He developed the station ID "The Voice of Point Park," programmed a 24/7 automation system, and co-hosted the award winning "WPPJ Morning Show" with Wayne Weil.
After earning some experience under his belt at the campus station, Nate picked up an internship at classical WQED 89.3 in Pittsburgh, where he worked on production and remote broadcasts
Nate has been nationally recognized for both his production and on-air work. During the 2011 Annual IBS (Intercollegiate Broadcasting System) Conference in New York, he was nominated for both the "On-Air Personality" and "Best Show Promo" awards.
"It was inevitable for me to get involved in audio production - I grew up around sound equipment," says Nate.
The young broadcaster got involved with DJing at an early age, since his dad runs his own business called "Sir Charles Distinctive Entertainment," which provides entertainment services for special occasions, such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, graduations, etc.
"My dad would always emcee all the events. Until I was about fourteen, I was just a grunt - lifting all the heavy stuff. I never really expected to be the center of attention, but next thing ya know, my dad hands me a microphone," Nate says.
By the time Nate was a freshman in high school, he was hosting his own DJ gigs around Bucks County, and developed a passion for radio.
"Somehow the power of the voice really struck a cadence with me. I knew I wanted to do something where people would listen to me. I knew I wanted to speak to an audience. I'm not too religious, so being a pastor wasn't an option, and I'm too damn honest to be a politician."
With that in mind, Nate chose to start leveling up as the DJ class.
In both 2012 and 2013, Nate Zerambo earned the title as WPPJ's "Most Creative DJ." A gamer at heart, a tech enthusiast, and in every sense of the word a true "geek," Nate, with his high level of creativity, is innovating a captivating show for "people of pure conquest and pwnage."
